But what type of content you should be making? Well, this question is very important. Let’s say for example you’re creating baby shark YouTube shorts. In this case, your audience is between 5 and 10 years old, so not only are you not going to get much sales despite your views, but you’re also going to have to sell products in accordance with your content.

You can’t make a sort of Mr Beast type of YouTube channel and then sell self-development books. It’s incoherent. And, since you’re on this website about self-improvement, I imagine that the type of content you want to create revolves around self-improvement.

So, the ideal path would be to create a self-improvement product to sell to your audience. And, your videos should be high-quality videos that are very informational with actionable steps about self-improvement or specific parts of it (business, relationships, reading, meditating, fitness, etc).

Now, if your ebook or book is sold with a known publisher such as Penguin House and you can get copies around the world then yes, go for it. However, getting a deal with them and buying their copyright protection is enough of a risk to filter out the waste majority of potential authors.

In other words, if you want to sell an ebook, you can post it on Amazon (and make a ton of profits), but the best way is to sell it through a publisher such as Penguin House, as it bespeaks authority and fame. In this way, you can get your book to sell even outside of the Amazon platform and you get much more customers.

As for building a course, it’s a great idea but you also need some sort of following before. Building a website or a YouTube channel to get the following (or both like us at Always Improving) is a good idea.

Finally, the online community is probably the best option as it can be sold for high prices and generally it’s one of the best, or even THE BEST online business model of the year. Making online calls with people who buy you to help them solve their problems and meet their goals in the fitness, business, or self-improvement world can prove to be profitable and fun.

On top of that, depending on the market you choose, you can really get your prices up. Some people sell 50 dollars an hour, or even more, for their services.

And, if your passion for example is creating musical beats using your piano, you can sell this on Fiverr. 15 euros per musical beat. On top of that, compared to an online community or a social media community where you might always be solicited (to post new videos, etc), Fiverr enables you to decide when to work (wether you accept a customer proposition or not) and therefore, it enables you to practice freelancing (selling your services online) after work, which makes it much more sustainable.

An online community might be great, but you might be inactive on it if you have other priorities in your life going on at the moment. On the contrary, freelancing enables you to accept your customers demands whenever you want, and it enables you to therefore work, whenever you want.
