Seed Oils And Vegetable Oils: Bad Or Good
Vegetable oils and seed oils are oils that come from vegetables, seeds, or flowers. The most common vegetable/seed oils are sunflower oil and colza oil. But you also have soybean oil, corn oil, peanut oil, etc. Companies use these oils because even tho they’re quite toxic, they’re cheap, and so if they’re cheap, these same companies can maximize their profits.
For the sake of this article, we’ll call flower oil, seed oils and vegetable oils « vegetable oil » so we have one word instead of three.
Most foods with oil nowadays possesses colza oil or sunflower oil in their recipe. Take a look at, for example, cashew nuts. A lot of « grilled and salted » cashew nuts are full of these oils, because they help give taste and they make the salt « snatch » to the cashews. It’s a way to get the results you would with healthy oils, such as olive oil or coconut oil, but for cheaper, so as to get more money.
Vegetable oil is used to « link » foods between one another, and to add consistence and taste. Colza-oil and sunflower oil are very toxic, and we’ll see why right now.
Dangers Of Vegetable Oils
Numerous studies and the Cleveland Clinic states that vegetable and seed oils are toxic for your health. They could be the source of formation of health issues, such as cancer, type 2 diabetes, and more.
Not only that, it also plays with important hormones, such as testosterone or estrogen. Often-times, these unhealthy oils will change the balance between the estrogen and testosterone ratio, in favor of estrogen. Having more and more estrogen in his or her body, a person might begin developing symptoms of weakness, depression, muscle-loss, fat gain, decreased libido (the sexual hormone), and more.
These problems can cause cancer and other really dangerous diseases in the future. This is why it’s so important to avoid these oils: not only do they destroy your health immediately, but they also affect you on the long term. It’s a poison, like a toxic substance, that already attacks you as soon as you put it into your mouth, but it also keep hurting you on the long-term if you keep consuming it regularly.
Of course, eating some vegetable oils from time to time isn’t that bad, just like sugar or alcohol, once in a while is okay. The problem is when it begins to be an everyday thing, and in this case, the real problems come really fast.
One other factor that makes these oils so toxic, is that compared to olive oil or coconut oil, vegetable oils often come in the package of a plastic bottle, which is particularly toxic, and here I’m not speaking about environmental impacts and all that stuff, I’m speaking about YOU and your body!
To make it simple, ANYTHING stored in plastic starts absorbing some amount of microplastic, especially FAT, because fat loves plastic, and plastic loves fat, since plastic is lipophilic. On the contrary, plastic hates water. And, to add another detail to this whole story, microplastics particularly LOVE liquids. So even tho it’s water, they’ll still dash into it (often times, it’s because they have no choice, since the particles have been released in the liquid, even tho they avoid water like if you put oil and water, they still manage to get into it by trying to avoid it, so you ultimately consume it).
So, what happens when something that LOVES fat, gets into a pure fat liquid (oil), knowing that it loves liquid? It starts releasing like crazy, hundreds of thousands of microplastics. « But where does these microplastic goes? ». Well, in your digestive system. And, then, ultimately, in your blood, and these microplastics act like the hormone « estrogen », and therefore it boosts your estrogen levels in your body, making you… deeply unhealthy.
Now, sure, microplastics and plastic packaging are everywhere, and we’re already probably infected by microplastics everyday just in the air we breathe (yes, for real). BUT, it’s not a reason to not try and improve yourself and avoid killing yourself even more.
So, try to avoid plastic bottles and packagings AND, particularly when it’s in liquid form. So, as tho vegetable oils weren’t toxic enough, we needed to put them into a plastic bottle as to leach hundreds of thousands of microplastics inside of it. Great.

But you might ask me, well, how to replace these foods? Well, one way to replace these foods is to start eating other healthy oils, such as olive oil which is very healthy. Olive oil, especially extra-virgin olive oil, is extremely good for health. It’s almost like a super food: rich in healthy fats and nutrients, and, it’s often stored in a glass bottle, making it even more healthy.
What colza oil does, olive oil does the contrary. Colza oil, for example, boosts estrogen in the body. Olive oil, for example, boosts testosterone and good hormones in the body, whilst reducing estrogen.
Coconut oil is also great it’s very healthy just like olive oil and is generally recommended in a good diet. As for butter, people have mixed opinion on it. A lot of people say it’s quite bad for health and point out potential « unhealthy fats » inside of it, or saying it’s dairy and dairy has been proven to reduce testosterone levels… I don’t think so. I think butter is quite healthy and you should eat it. A good, healthy, preferably grass fed butter is very good for health.
Conclusion
Try to avoid processed foods and vegetable oils. Vegetable oils can be quite destructive long-term, and even tho a short-time or one-time exposure to them here and there shouldn’t hurt you, consuming it everyday in normal or large quantities could prove to be harmful for your health and especially your hormonal health, such as your testosterone’s levels and your estrogen levels.
